Renee Ryan

Program Manager, Adult Services

Since earning a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, East Bay in 2008, Renee has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with disabilities and building inclusive, community-centered programs. What began as a short-term summer job with Easterseals Northern California (then Bay Area) supporting youth ages 5–22 in an after-school program –quickly grew into a passion and a long-term calling.

As Lead Teacher for the teen group, Renee helped create a safe, engaging environment that felt like a second home for many participants. The program offered everything from daily social-skills activities to full-day field trips across the Bay Area, all designed to support independence and joy.

After its launch in 2018, Renee helped build the Kaleidoscope Community Adult Program, bringing the same creativity, joy and heart from the youth program into adult services. One of the most meaningful parts of her work has been reconnecting with former teen participants as adults – a testament to the lasting impact of Easterseals Northern California’s work and the relationships built along the way.
